February 22 2017 - Sustainability Committee Minutes
1 to 1:50 pm

Attendance: Scott Carlin, Kay Sato, Erica Ferrara, Sarah Pomerenke & Katie Dunn (511 NY Rideshare), Justin Poly, Bill Kirker, Carol Boyer, Ilene Persoff.

Discussion:
1. Faculty are continuing to advance a new undergraduate degree program. More details will be available in late March/early April.

2. Peter Maniscalco will join us March 22 for World Water Day (8 pm, End Zone, Hillwood Commons).

3. Sarah and Katie have asked LIU Post to join their new Clean Air Champion Program. A flyer describing the program is available at:

4. Bill Kirker announced that this spring will be his last semester at LIU Post.  (A story covering this topic was in a recent Pioneer.)

5. Plans are continuing for the Sustainability Dinner.  We hope to finalize plans by late March re: date/speaker/etc.

6. Carol Boyer circulated information on Living Dorms and will work
