POST-EDUCATION CEIT Student Council Application

Dear CEIT Colleagues and Students,

The CEIT Student Life Committee is helping to form a Student Council.  The CEIT Student Council will represent the student body in order to build Tradition, Community and Identity among CEIT students.  The ideal is to have one student representative from each unit.  The candidates will be undergraduate students with junior or sophomore standing, and first or second year graduate students (Masters and Ed.D.).  With a faculty recommendation, students can participate in this leadership role for CEIT.  The Committee believes that this will represent a great opportunity for our students to learn leadership skills, to build network with fellow student bodies, alumni, and faculty, and develop further thoughts and ideas on education/schooling as a future leader educator.

Some of the responsibilities of the Student Council are the following. First, the Student Council will collect students' concerns and suggestions to make the community more student-centered.  Second, the Student Council will meet with faculty advisors and the Dean to discuss issues and concerns presented by CEIT student bodies.
