[Bkn-ipad-user-group] New outlook site

Kan at FMRC changed the exchange settings on my ipad after the switch from weboutlook to outlook.  I couldn't even delete it and replace it with the new one.  It was locked on the faculty setting which was created when we had weboutlook.  Sara

Helaine, I had difficulty as well and did in fact need to delete the account and start over.

I don’t have the specific steps for you to follow because after a fair amount of frustration trying it on my own, I took the device to the faculty resource center. The fix was then quick!  One thing that I did ultimately do that you may need to do is update the I-Pad operating systems.  This was done by looking in ITunes on my desktop for updates, downloading, and then syncing the devices, I think.

Some of the apps won’t work with the older operating system that is the default on our devices. For example, I couldn’t get Pages to work until I installed the upgraded  system.  Perhaps this is part of the problem w/ the email.

At any rate, the good news is that w/ persistence it does ultimately work.

Maybe someone w/ a bit more technical expertise can give you the specific steps to follow.

Has anyone else had difficulty with setting up the LIU exchange account for the new outlook.liu.edu in place of weboutlook.liu.edu?
I have been told to delete the old exchange account and set up a new one but there is no Delete button for that account and I cannot get into the Profile settings for the profile LIU-Faculty where the original exchange account was set up.
Any ideas?
