Subject: LIU Student Representatives to the United Nations Needed for 2020, Apply Now!

Do you have a strong interest in the United Nations? Are you able to attend monthly meetings representing Long Island University at the UN in New York City?  LIU students can apply for a UN Badge/Grounds Pass; this will give you access to UN buildings for the 2020 calendar year.  This is an outstanding opportunity for students interested in future UN internships, research, and related opportunities.  Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Badges are for Spring and Fall 2020.  UN badges are provided by the UN Department of Global Communications (UN DGC).  Long Island University has an associative status with UN DGC.

To apply for a LIU – UN badge, submit:

  1.  a 1-page resume;
  2.  one letter of recommendation from a relevant faculty member;
  3.  a 1-page cover letter that explains:
     *   Your interests in current United Nations programs and activities (try to be specific),
     *   Your availability to attend UN briefings in NYC,
     *   Your academic achievements (Year of study, credits completed, GPA, Major, etc.)

Deadline for all materials: Friday, December 13, 5 pm.
