[Post-sustainability-committee] United Nations Youth Challenge - Summer of Ideas

The "Summer Of Solutions" is a call for applications from young people around the world to create innovative technology-based solutions to global challenges.

This is a new initiative launched by the Office of the United Nations Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=1869ae07ad&e=201be1ad1e>, in partnership with the United Nations Technology and Innovation Labs<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=3cc414ad9e&e=201be1ad1e>, and the United Nations Development Programme<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=45eb799701&e=201be1ad1e>.

The 2019 #SummerOfSolutions aims to solve climate challenges:

  1.  #OpenCI Platform<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=79c7a9b653&e=201be1ad1e> Challenge: develop an information systems solution that can serve as a platform to enhance the access of localized climate and market information.
  2.  #CircularEconomy<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=4832507098&e=201be1ad1e> Challenge: present ideas for ICT tools and business process innovations that are related to the Circular Economy and can result in rapid and far-reaching improvements for society.
  3.  #EthicalFashion<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=222ef14be1&e=201be1ad1e> Challenge: present ideas for ICT tools and business process innovations that are related to Ethical Fashion & Textiles, which can result in rapid and far-reaching improvements for society.

Selected participants and their ideas will be showcased at the United Nations Climate Action Summit<https://outreach.us16.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e44de94794d9d2534e5d7f115&id=c1869d8a94&e=201be1ad1e> in
New York City in September 2019.
