[Post-sustainability-committee] Happy World Food Day!

Earlier today between 12:00 and 2:00pm in Hillwood Commons the LIU Post Campus Nutritionists and Nutrition Club celebrated World Food Day with free food samples, games, prizes and information about sustainability and minimizing food waste.    World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The purpose is to bring attention to how governments and individuals can help combat world hunger, malnutrition and food insecurity.
