We would really like to fill Hillwood Cinema, May 24!
So, I need your help.

Please share this flyer with appropriate contacts.
We’ll have over a dozen speakers. I’ll be speaking toward the end of the event.
EPA doesn’t do a lot of events on LI, so this is a great opportunity to learn about local water quality issues.

Our target audiences are the following:

o Primary Target – Municipalities, Representatives and Non-Profit Organizations

• Individuals who can go back and implement what was learned through policy changes, new practices and other actions, and tell colleagues, members and constituents what they learned, to maximize information dissemination.

o Secondary Target – Associations, For-Profits, Chambers of Commerce and Universities

• Individuals and businesses who can influence colleagues, members, staff, customers and students to spread knowledge and make behavioral changes.

o Tertiary Target – Small Business Owners and individual Community Residents

• Enlightened and self-motivated individuals can attend and make direct changes to their business practices and employees, and can make changes to their own behaviors, and that of their families, based on what they learn.

Subject: P2 and Long Island Groundwater Meeting - May 24

Dear Colleagues,

Please see the attached save-the-date flyer for the “Pollution Prevention and Long Island Groundwater” meeting. The meeting will take place 10:00-3:30 PM on Tuesday, May 24th at the Long Island University Post Campus in Brookville, NY. Registration details will be sent out shortly.

EPA is hosting this meeting as part of the larger Long Island Groundwater Series. The Agenda will include six presentations, a 3-member panel discussion, and a moderated Question and Answer Session in the afternoon with at least 10 speakers prepared to answer your questions. In addition, information will be presented and handed out on various EPA voluntary programs, including EnergyStar, Safer Choice, and WaterSense, as well as on general P2 Best Management Practices and sector-specific practices. This outreach in support of the event will highlight how stakeholders can leverage these voluntary programs to advance their own sustainability initiatives and contribute to an immediate impact that leads to environmental improvement.

If you know of any interested stakeholders interested in this topic, please be sure to share this information and encourage them to attend this free event. If you have any questions, please contact Lorne LaMonica at lamonica.lorne at epa.gov<mailto:lamonica.lorne at epa.gov> or 212-637-3496.

Thanks,
Alex Peck
