POST-EDUCATION The Story of Fatima- A Young Muslim Girl

Dear Students,


Attached information is for an important performance we are presenting this February called “Jabber”- the story of Fatima, a young Muslim girl who is ostracized for wearing her hijab.

As Fatima navigates a new school, new relationships, and her family’s values and customs, audiences will explore the judgments and assumptions we make based on each other’s perceived differences. The story challenges stereotypes and encourages real conversation around race, religion and identity. Jabber will be presented at Tilles Center on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10 am and 12 pm.
