Council meeting, APR came up, and it appears that in the new middle states standards, APR is a requirement (I have not seen the new middle states documents at this point, so I’m only providing information I’ve heard). </span></div>

Following up on a meeting with him last spring that got cancelled, the UFS asked Jeff Kane to come to our monthly meeting today to bring us up-to-date on Academic Program Review. He brought a newly revised version of the documents that he had circulated to
some of us in the last week. They are attached for faculty review and distribution as you see fit. </div>

It appears the objections from many parties in Brooklyn were heard. The main change in the docs is that the first group of programs to be reviewed has been modified. The list now includes one program from each of the schools at Brooklyn: Accounting, Biology,
Computer Science, Dance, Media Arts and Social Work. The following programs in Conolly have been<span class="x_Apple-converted-space"> </span><u class="">removed</u><span class="x_Apple-converted-space"> </span>from the list: Economics, History, Soc-Anthro,
Speech. These four programs will not be asked to undergo the process during the compressed timeframe of Spring 2017 and are not listed to be reviewed in 2017-18. </div>
