<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;color:black">I concur with Kathy that right now with four (and probably more) deans leaving, downsizing of staff and a lot colleges going up for accreditation I do think it might be wise to have an internal hire who understands
the culture of the institution. Lori has taken the university through Middle States and various other accreditation successfully. She knows the institution and from my experience is extremely partial to faculty and will go to bat for us. I wish we had a candidate
who could magically change the place around and earn us the A rating we deserve but unfortunately we do not have that right now. That is not to say that we might not in the future. But in the interim given our current state of affairs and the urgency of the
situation I for one feel that Lori would be the best person for the job. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
