From Cwpinfo at liunet.edu Fri Oct 10 16:14:34 2008 From: Cwpinfo at liunet.edu (C.W. Post Information) Date: Fri, 10 Oct 2008 16:14:34 -0400 Subject: Start Dates for Spring 2009 On-Line Registration - Pilot Programs Message-ID: <144DF684B5CF474F91841C6DAF137EE7271698@uc-exh-3.liunet.edu> Dear Student; As was explained in our recent letter to you, the University is ready to launch on-line student registration for a pilot group of graduate programs. As an enrolled student in one of the programs in the pilot group, we are writing to make you aware of the following start dates for Spring 2009 on-line registration: Monday, October 20, 2008 * CW Post Graduate English and History * CW Post Graduate Library Science (All Plans) * CW Post Graduate Speech Pathology Monday, November 3, 2008 * Brooklyn Graduate Business School Monday, November 10, 2008 * Riverhead Graduate Teacher Education Please note that registration on-line can be accessed using your My LIU account. If you have not yet activated your My LIU account, please visit my.liu.edu to complete the activation process. If you are having difficulties accessing your My LIU account, please stop by your campus's Center for Student Information (CSI) for assistance (in Hillwood Commons at C.W. Post, and Library Learning Center, Room 301 at Brooklyn). For Riverhead students, you may contact John-Paul McCaffrey, IT Helpdesk Support Specialist, at (631) 287- 8493 or via email at John-Paul.McCaffrey at liu.edu for assistance. Once logged into the system, you will be able to register for classes beginning on the above days, as well as add and drop classes during the University's open enrollment period which extends through the end of the first week of the Spring 2009 term. Adding and dropping classes during the second week of the term may result in a financial liability and therefore must be done in person. Guidance on how to use the on-line registration system will be available in printed form (available at each campus's CSI) and through online materials and video tutorials located on the My LIU Student Center website (http://studentcenter.liu.edu/). We anticipate that most students will be able to complete their entire registration on-line, but some students may need to complete some portion of their registration with their advisors based upon their particular situation. All students wishing to register on-line should consult with their academic advisor to discuss course selection and progress in their degree. Additionally, if you have blocks on your student account that prevent you from registering for the Spring 2009 term, we suggest that you attempt to resolve the issues as soon as possible so that you may take full advantage of the new on-line registration capability and register without delay. You can check your My LIU account for these blocks and information about how to resolve them. In addition, if you are still unable to register on-line, you will always be able to register with your advisor throughout the open enrollment period. We are very excited about providing you with this new technology, and we look forward to receiving your feedback as our project continues. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
