Good morning Colleagues at LIU Brooklyn Graduate School of Family and Marriage Therapy,

I'm writing to let you know that registration is now open for the Interfaith Center of New York's upcoming Social Work and Religious Diversity conference.

I hope you and your colleagues can join us on Wednesday, May 15th, to explore Faith-Based Perspectives on Trauma and Healing. The conference will help participants offer trauma-sensitive care to religiously diverse clients. The program includes spiritual reflection on trauma and healing from diverse religious leaders and faith-based service providers; discussions of trauma care for survivors of hate crimes, disasters, domestic violence, and ACEs; and an introduction to bodily healing through trauma-sensitive yoga. These conversations will be particularly valuable for you and your colleagues at LIU Brooklyn, given your important work providing students with the core knowledge to be able to support and help other in a variety of settings.

You don't need to be a social worker to attend, but the conference is tailored to meet the needs of New York State LMSWs and LCSWs, with seven continuing education credit hoursapproved to meet state licensing requirements. Registration is open, and space is limited.

We hope to see you on May 15th! Don't hesitate to write back or call if you have any questions about the conference.

Thank you! All the best,
Amy Sena
