Title: Ambassador, Sanford Education Programs Campus: University Center
Job Duties: The Sanford Education Programs include Sanford Harmony and Sanford Inspire. The Sanford Inspire program is a state of the art professional development program for pre–service and in–service teachers and focuses on the best practices for inspirational instruction. The Sanford Harmony program is designed to make a positive difference in how Pre–K through 6th grade boys and girls think about and treat each other, therefore improving gender relations throughouttheir lives.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Advancement Operations, the SEC Ambassador is responsible for the external outreach efforts and professional development and support of participating teachers for Sanford Harmony and Sanford Inspire programs.
The SEC Ambassador is responsible for proactively developing, growing, and retaining strategic, long term partnerships with new and existing corporate clients within an assigned geography or industry vertical (focus ison clients that offer tuition assistance to their employees). This individual will be responsible for working with and building relationships with select group of clients and prospective clients to ensure clients aredealt with professionally, effectively, with team members to reach and maintain revenue goals and at the same time promote the Sanford Education Center/National University System mission, vision and values tothe company and to its employees.
For Sanford Inspire, the SEC Ambassador will develop relationships with School of Education Deans, Chairs and faculty to communicate program benefits and encourage curriculum adoption to prepare pre–service teachers. The SEC Ambassador will also develop relationships with K–12 superintendents, principals and teachers to encourage training and implementation for in–service teachers.
For Sanford Harmony, the SEC Ambassador will develop strategic relationships with Pre–K superintendents, principals and teachers to encourage their adoption of the program. The SEC Ambassador will establish strategic partnerships with Pre–K organizations, national teachers’ organizations, school districts, charter schools and educational foundations to promote Sanford Harmony.
Integral to both the Sanford Harmony and the Sanford Inquire Programs is the element of strong relationship management. Relationship management includes quality interface with all current and potential points of contact across the schools involved in the Sanford Programs. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders is critical to ensuring the highest level of service.
Qualifications: Candidates must have an advanced degree, teaching credential, and five to seven years’ experience promoting and implementing education programs. Experience in teacher education and educational administration is required. Candidates must provide evidence of experience in planning and implementing school–based professional development. She/he will have demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining relationships with education leaders from Pre–K–12 and higher education, and a proven track record of successful achievement of assigned goals. Must possess the drive to connect with people, helping individuals obtain a quality learning experience that will assist them in moving forward in their career assisting organizations in meeting workforce development needs.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
