Dear Mental Health Counseling Students,
Hamilton-Madison House is a is a voluntary, non-profit settlement house in the Two Bridges/Chinatown area of Manhattan's Lower East Side dedicated to improving the quality of life in its community and beyond. For more information you can visit: http://www.hmhonline.org/
Currently, this organization seems to be full with accepting new interns this year, but Ms. Pauline Cheung, LMHC is asking that interested students still contact her.
The Hamilton-Madison House is generally seeking bilingual students who can speak both Chinese and English. Occasionally, they may also seek bilingual Spanish speaking students as well. They start the interview process around January-early May as they ask that students start their internship around the beginning of June. Their internship requires that the student commits a full year (June-May) with 20 hours per week. They believe that this give the students a more rounded internship experience to prepare them as counselors upon graduation.
If you are qualified and interested, please email your cover letter and resume to Ms. Pauline Cheung at: paulinecheung at hmhonline.org
