The Elder Abuse Training Institute is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary training program to improve understanding of, and response to, the various forms of elder abuse. The Institute utilizes a "train the trainer" model. For Fall 2011 two modules will be offered: Elder Abuse 101 and Mental Health. The first training, Elder Abuse 101 is an introductory course for individuals who have ongoing interactions with elders but who have limited or no experience with elder abuse situations and interventions.
