[Bkn-pt-class-12] Important Graduation Information

After receiving some information today from some students, we have realized that the process for taking your board exam has been slightly altered this year and the following needs to happen. Unfortunately the FSBPT is saying that form 1 which is your license and first regsitration needs to be sent in in order for you to sit for the exam. This has never been the case and no where on the website does it say that.



This being said it is not possible to sit for the board exam on July 2 as you will not be cleared in time for the exam. Because of this if you plan on taking the exam in NY on July 31 this form 1 needs to be sent to NYS education department ASAP. Please go online to the NYS education department the link is attached in the word document and download and fill out form 1 and get it there ASAP.



If you are sitting for the exam in another state, you must go the state education department for that state and fill out the apprpriate documentatation. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me 917-297-9513.



I sincerely apologize for this. Nicki and I called and checked before the meeting and we received no information about this. In addition, we had our chairperson call and unfortunately there is nothing they can do for us.



I am sure some of you may be upset, but the important thing now is to keep focused and get this done. Remember this needs to be done ASAP.

Hello Class of 2012,
It was nice to see most of you yesterday and we hope you enjoyed presenting your work at Discovery Day.
Please see attached for all the information we reviewed yesterday regarding graduation, registering for the licensing exam and applying for your NY State License.

As a reminder, you must send an e-mail to Yovanka by April 18, 2012 informing her of 2 things:

1.       Will be you taking the PEAT exam here at LIU on May 29 and June 19?

2.       How many guests are expecting at the PT afternoon graduation ceremony?

Please also remember that you will need to be here on Wednesday, May 9th to set up the room for the wine and cheese ceremony.  We will ask some of the 2nd year students to set up the food on Thursday.
