The School of Nursing recently received an extremely positive site visit summary report from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the professional organization that accredits nursing programs across the country. Their report is reflective of the well-earned reputation for excellence of the School of Nursing as a leader in the education of nurses in the New York Metropolitan area.

As Vice President for Academic Affairs, my primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of our academic programs at Long Island University.  In that context, I work closely with the Deans, the Provost of the Brooklyn Campus, the faculty and administrative colleagues across the University to maintain the quality and integrity of all of our academic programs.   I would like to publicly commend the faculty, administration and staff for the hard work that you continue to do on a daily basis to maintain high and meaningful academic standards for the program and for the profession.
