Thanks to all the group for your info and support.
Ultimately, I did a reset of all my content and settings and then began from scratch and added the new outlook account and then put back my apps and my other stuff afterwards. Brian at the FTRC helped me out; he was very patient and helpful.
I am all set and back in business now.
However, imho, since we have this listserv, I believe that LIU should have blasted a message to all of us warning us that the switchover would affect our I-pads and that we would need to go to the FMRC or FTRC to get them "fixed" for the new outlook. Mine was a special case as I am in Westchester - although there is also someone in Rockland and maybe a few other isolated folks who will have to do a complete reset like I did.
Anyway, onward!
Is anyone thinking of an application for the TLI Innovation Grant and wants to collaborate on that with ideas for using i-pad? We could cook something up with two different environments and compare them. Any takers?
I am in graduate level teacher education.

All, right after Ralph Dorinsinvillle from IT at Brooklyn updated my laptop to outlook, from Weboutlook, on Dec 13, I noticed that I was not receiving email on iPad. Ralph said IT did not have permissions to change it as FMRC set up the iPads. I went to FMRC and it they fixed it immediately.
One function I can not get, which I liked, is the ability to download a pdf file directly onto the iPad, by putting a 'g' in front of the URL, and press go to download the file. This is a GoodReader function which no longer works, but which was very efficient. Anyone use this? I learned about the function from the GoodReader online to do guides, which are very simple.

I left my Exchange acct as is bcos it was blocked too. Since it was towards the end of the semester, I just created a new account as if it were a gmail account and luckily it worked.
