I remember wanting to receive as many marks as the professor would give me. What disappointed me greatly was a grade-espeacially a bad one- with little to no markings. Students often run the through a range of emotions and have often come to tutoring with their papers as well as their thoughts about the professor's comments. Some enjoy what the comments represent,the attention and careful consideration paid to their work by the professor, while others are almost angered by the fact that there were so many comments, while others still don't mind the comments when the comments are legible and not in access. Chapter 7 attempts to put forth these issues to prepare and help the tutor for students who have received feedback from their professors. Shockingly, I have had several tutoring experiences where tutees have not bothered to look at the comments of a professor. I ask because I have had several experiences with students who looked at me funny when I ask them if they have asked their professors questions about the comments on the student's paper. Once again I play the mediator between the teacher and the student. </span></div></body></html>=
